The purpose of this web-based simulation tool is to teach students the synthesis of multiple production systems concepts. Students can visualize the actual process by visualizing the virtual factory. Students will know how parts and workers move between various stations and the flow logic of the process by visualizing the virtual factory through VRML and AVI files.
Students will input values for the Shocker Jet simulation model through a web-based tool developed by Graduate student Brian Adams (Cessna Aircraft Co.)
as his Master's project under the guidance of Dr. Larry Whitman (IMfgE department.). Mohit Choudhary modified the simulation to allow web-based data entry and retrieval.
